Kano Yasunobu was the brother to artists Tan’yu and Naonobu. He founded the Nakabashi Kano school and was regarded as the eighth-generation head of the Kyoto Kano line. He signed many certificates of authentication for Kano paintings (Laurence P. Roberts, A Dictionary of Japanese Artists’ p.199).
