The fittings by Omori Hideuji (Hidechika), late 18th century
The saya of ribbed roiro lacquer; the polished shakudo tsuba carved in takabori with a dragon amid swirling clouds, signed Hidechika with kao; the fuchi-gashira of shakudo ishime, carved with breaking waves in similar style, signed Hidechika with kao; the kojiri and kurikata similarly carved.
Total length 104cm (41in).
