A koto katana
Attributed to Fujiwara Uji Yasumitsu, late Muromachi Period, 16th century
The blade of shinogi-zukuri form, ko-midare ha of nie with some kinsugi, mokume-hada, with single broad bohi to eiher side, the nakago with two mekugi-ana, signed Fujiwara Uji Yasumitsu, in shirasaya; tachi koshirae: the saya of black ishime lacquer; the fittings of silver, all with kirimon among karakusa, the ashi-kanamono partly pierced.
