A Mino katana in mounts

Honzukuri, iori mune, torii zori, chugissaki, forged in a flowing koitame pattern with hints of mokume in jinie, the temper gunome togariba with nie chikei and an omaru boshi, koshi ni bohi carved on both sides, the tang ubu with two holes and taka no hana file marks, signed on the omote, Noshu Seki ju Kanefusa saku and inscribed with a Buddhist mantra on the ura, Rin byo to sha kai jin retsu zai zen, with a one-piece silver habaki in shirasaya

With a modern wood saya covered in black leather, the tsuka fitted with iron fuchi-gashira decorated with paulownia in gold nunome and iron and gold menuki carved as hawks, the iron tsuba with two large open panels and two udenuki ana with floral scroll in gold nunome

With kantei certificate no. 740 issued by the Nihon Token Hozonkai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Sword), dated 2003.3.16
