Of oval form, carved in low relief with an eagle perched on a rock surrounded with engraved scattered leaves, the reverse with further leaves among rocks, unsigned; with wood storage box.

The work is attributed to Jingo II (1620-1710). He lived in Yatsushiro in Higo province and was a retainer of the Hosogawa family from the age of 15: see Haynes, Index, no.H 02038.
