Attributed to Yokoya Somin, Yokoya School, 18th century
Of oval form, carved in shishiaibori and takabori with a prancing shishi, its eyes gilt and one leg continuing on the reverse, signed Somin with elaborate inlaid copper and gilt seal Tomotsune.
