Of oval form, carved in shishiaibori with the Chikurin Shichiken (Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove), with details in gold takazogan amd honzogan, signed Hosono Sozaemon.

The tsuba is accompanied by a certificate by Dr Kazutaro Torigoe, dated 1965, stating that it is the genuine work of Masamori.
