A Shinto katana

The blade of shinogi-zukuri form, shallow zori, medium gunome-choji of nie with sunagashi and choji-ashi, itame-hada; the suriage-nakago with kiri-yasuri and three mekugi-ana, signed Fujiwara Shigeyuki; in shirasaya; with koshirae: the saya of tan lacquer, with informal kiri in gold and shibuichi makie; the iron fittings of Higo school, inlaid in gilt with cherry blossoms and Chinese bell flowers, unsigned.
The blade 67.3cm (26½in) long. (3).
