The blade of shinogi-zukuri form, ko-midare of nie with some kinsuji, tight mokume-hada with futasuji-hi to either side; the o-suriage-nakago with kiri-yasuri and one mekugi-ana, unsigned; in red lacquered saya, partly ribbed and partly of negoro-nuri, iron tsuba with inlaid shells on a beach, signed Umetada Ki Muneyoshi, silver fuchi-kashira with fruiting trees in relief, long silver kojiri with falling leaves in shishiaibori, unsigned. 69.2cm (27¼in) long.
