The blade of hira-zukuri form, toran-ba of nie and nioi, mokume-hada, dragon and ken horimono to one side, hatahoko to the other, unsigned; in shirasaya; koshirae: saya of aogai nashiji, tsuka of shakudo nanako with an octopus in gold takazogan; fuchi-kashira of gilt metal, chidori and waterwheel, signed Goto Mitsusuke; Goto kozuka gilt and chased in relief with a dragon; other fittings chased with formalised waves. 36½cm (14 3/8in) long.
