A truly incredible masterpiece signed “Chōshū Hagi-jū Tomotomi saku”. Not your regular piece that we expect to see from the Chōshū Kawaji school. The depiction is a Sachihoko, if you’ve been to Japan visiting a castle you would have certainly seen one as they are always at certain areas of the rooftop, I’ve added one of the pictures to our photo gallery. It has been awarded NBTHK Tokubetsu papers, and with good reason. On the side of the signature we have the Sachihoko in Shibu-ichi, the rims ar wider and raised on all 4 sides. On the opposite side we have rain droplets and waves at the base, the waves are also of Shibuichi and gold.
