Of octagonal form, with a brass mimi, carved, pierced and inlaid with a spool of thread resting on the ground beside a torii by cryptomeria trees, in takabori with gold and silver details, signed Yurakusai Sekibun. 7.6cm (3in).

Katsurano Sekibun (1790-1832) worked in Shonai, in Dewa province and was succeeded by his son (1838-1912) who adopted the same go of Yurakusai.
