Fuchi Kashira OMORI TERUHIDE

1730-1798 – Edo – 2nd Omori-generation

Omori Eishu (Teruhide) was the third master of the Omori family and was nephew, student and adopted son of Omori Eisho (Terumasa), the second
master. He created his own independent style even though he was head of the Omori family school, and had many students.

This is an impressive Fuchi Kashira crafted from shibuichi, featuring a large depiction of flying swallows made from shakudo, copper, shibuichi, and gold.

The swallows are portrayed vividly and realistically, capturing the essence of flight with meticulous attention to detail and a stunning combination of colors. This piece by Omori Teruhide is truly picturesque and dynamic.
