Impressive and bold Tsuba with dragons on a heavy iron plate chasing through the sky. Made by Tannendo Yoshikatsu in the spring of 1813. The dragons are outstanding and lively carved, especially considering the heavy and strong iron groundplate.
He was famous for his excellent carving techniques on iron ground, thus this piece is a perfect example.
