The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foild double Habaki.
Blade length : 72.1 cm or 28.38 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 3.37 cm or 1.32 inches.
Kasane : 0.43 cm or 0.16 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : Wide and thick blade. Nagamaki style Katana.
Jigane : Ko-Itame Hada and Ko-Mokume Hada grained with Jinie attach.
Shinogi-Ji: Masame Hada with Chikei.
Hamon : Ko-Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with thick Nioikuchi.
Ih Ha, there are many Ashi and Sunagashi.
Boshi is round shape.

Special feature: Yamaura Saneo was born in 1804.
His older brother is Yamaura Kiyomaro. He passed away Meiji 7th(1874) May 18th, 71 years of age. He studied under Kawamura Toshitaka. But he is not satisfied with Bizen style and were aiming for even greater heights Soshu Den. Both brothers made active Soshu-den blade. His first name was Tennenshi Kanri. And he later changed his namde to Toshimasa, Masao, Saneo and Toshinaga. He changed his name with considerable frequency. His style was extremely similar as his younger brother.

From Aoi Art: This blade is Mumei(unsigned). But the work is typical Kiyomaro school. The blade is powerful shape and magnificent Soshu den. And there is very few number of Yamaura Saneo’s blades. We definitely recommend this sword.

Saya : Kinnashi-Ji, dragon is painted with gold Makie.
Tsuba : NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu, Mumei (Mino).
Mokko shape, Shakudo Nanako Tsuba,
autumn plants are engraved with gold color.
Menuki : NBTHK Hozon Tosogu, Mumei (Edo Umetada).
Shibuichi, Shishi dog is engraved with gold color.
