The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold double foiled habaki
Blade length : 67.5cm or 26.6inches.
Sori : 2.6cm or 1.02inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.94cm or 1.16inches.
Kasane : 0.60cm or 0.24inches.
Era : Late Kamakura period to Nanbokucho period.
Shape : It is katana with much sori and it is nice shape nagamaki naoshi style katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada with mixture of mokume. It is clear jigane. There is kitae crack at the back side and around the hamachi area but it is not serious.
Hamon : Konie structure, gunome midare with mixture of ashi, yo attached. There is kinsuji streaks seen along the ha.
Special feature : The Omiya school of Bizen province belongs to the Osafune school.
It is a commonly accepted view that Kunimori or his son who moved
from Omiya in Kyoto in the last Kamakura period was the founder of this school.
Almost of all survived swords of this school were limited to Morikage,
Morokage and Morishige on and after the Nambokucho period.
